Service description
CopticFinder is a digital directory of Coptic Orthodox churches. It allows users to find churches, service schedules, and set reminders. Church data is provided by the community and by verified church managers.
⚠️ Church data is community-maintained — we strive to verify it but cannot guarantee complete accuracy. Always confirm with the church directly when needed.
Accounts & authentication
- The core app requires no account.
- An account is required for features like church notifications, claims, and management.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
Content you submit
When you submit a comment, report, vote, or church proposal, you contribute content to improve the directory. This content must be:
- Accurate: Based on genuine first-hand knowledge.
- Respectful: No abuse, harassment, or offensive content.
- Relevant: Related to the specific church or service.
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms.
Prohibited use
You may not:
- Post false or misleading church information.
- Use the app for any unauthorized commercial purpose.
- Attempt to access other users' data.
- Conduct attacks or exploit system vulnerabilities.
- Repeatedly submit fake data to manipulate the trust system.
Disclaimer
The app is provided "as is" without any express or implied warranties. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any data in the app. We are not liable for any inconvenience or loss arising from inaccurate church schedule or location information.
Intellectual property
The app, its design, and source code are protected by CopticFinder's intellectual property rights. Using the app does not grant you any ownership or license to its content. Community-submitted church data is licensed under an open CC-BY license.
Changes to terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via the app. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes arising from app use shall be resolved under these laws.
